Introducing: Omar Soliman- CEO, College Hunks, Hauling Junk

Omar was born and raised in Washington DC (in the city not the suburbs!) and learned about running a small business from his mom who owns a furniture store right in the heart of the city. Omar used to go out and deliver sofas and furniture for her and often when they delivered a piece of furniture people would pay the to haul away their old stuff. Omar realized that there was a huge demand for junk removal and decided to try it out as a summer gig.

All he needed was a catchy name! After a few beers at a college party, the business naming commenced and eventually, COLLEGE HUNKS HAULING JUNK popped out and they were in business!

Omar entered a business plan contest at The University of Miami for College Hunks Hauling Junk and won 1st place and $10,000. He names it as one of the most amazing moments in his life.

Omar and his business partner, Nick Friedman were on the very first episode of Shark Tank. This was a crazy experience for them because they had no idea what to expect as there were no previous episodes to study.  On the show, they pitched a sister concept to their business called COLLEGE FOXES PACKING BOXES. The Sharks only wanted to invest if they could get a chunk of the existing College Hunks business. The conversation got so heated that Nick actually told Kevin O'leary to "stop talking" and everyone on the set gasped. It was one of the best moments in Shark Tank history.  Robert Herjaveck made an offer of2 50k for 10% of College Hunks which they turned down.

Now, College Hunks Hauling Junk is on pace to do 50mm in systemwide revenue this year and has over 80 franchises nationwide... Needless to say they are happy that they turned down the deal.

- After Omar's appearance on Shark Tank, a producer from Bravo's Show- "Millionaire Matchmaker" approached Omar about appearing on the season premier of "Millionaire Matchmaker."  Omar agreed, but with the stipulation, that they let him pick up his date in the College Hunks Junk Truck.  Omar made TV history by being the only person to ever pickup a girl in a bright orange dump truck. (she had heels on and everything). Needless to say it was the worst date in history, but made for their highest rated show ever.

Now married, though not to his Millionaire Matchmaker date,  Omar lives in Tampa, FL and has a 5 year old son.
