Shark Tank Airing: Season 6, Episode 609
Talia Goldfarb is the co-owner of Myself Belts, a patented, one-handed, easy to fasten belt for children and adults. Talia currently lives in St. Louis, but grew up in Providence, RI and graduated from Williams College in 1994. She received a Masters in Social Work 1996 and worked as a school social worker and therapist for children in foster care for many years. Motherhood altered her professional path, as it was her son’s sagging pants that led to the invention of Myself Belts in 2004 and her new life as an entrepreneur.
Talia can speak about her unexpected path to being an entrepreneur and business owner in a relatable manner. She can explain how to bring an “idea” from concept to reality, the patent process, and how to navigate the retail industry. Talia can discuss the life of a mom entrepreneur, how to stay focused and strategic, and how to withstand the emotional roller coaster of entrepreneurship. The blend of Talia’s professional training as a therapist/social worker with her entrepreneurial journey brings unique expertise.
Myself Belts are an innovative, easy to fasten line of belts for children and adults. The one-handed patented closure is perfect for potty training, preschool, school uniforms, special needs, or just as a cute accessory.
